Outdoor Shower Photoshoot Ideas
Featuring Lindsay
One of my favorite locations from this summer was this incredible outdoor shower tucked away beside the pool. The weathered stone walls, soft natural light, and running water created the perfect setting for a cinematic swimwear session.
For this shoot, I wanted the images to feel natural rather than overly posed. Instead of directing every movement, I encouraged Lindsay to interact with the space—letting the water run over her shoulders, turning naturally toward the light, and simply enjoying the moment.
The result was one of my favorite swimsuit galleries of the year.
Why I Loved This Location
Great photos don't always require complicated lighting setups. Sometimes finding the right location makes all the difference.
This outdoor shower provided:
Beautiful soft natural light
Textured stone walls that added character
Running water that created movement and atmosphere
A private setting that allowed us to shoot comfortably
It's a great reminder that location often plays just as important a role as lighting.
Camera & Lighting
This entire feature was photographed using natural light with my Sony A7R V and Sigma 50mm f/1.4 Art lens.
No strobes.
No reflectors.
Just beautiful available light and a great location.
